Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the brand's centenary.  bentley key price  is made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes the flying "B" paperweight, keys, and an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

This is a great method to welcome a brand new car owner.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a brand that takes its aesthetics seriously. It shows in the precision location of its quilting the choice of leather sourced from cattle by-products, the wood from sustainable forests and the ingenious patterns that are etched on its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you drive by to show its sculptural beauty and power with carefully selected lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top vehicle. Its rear tonneau, as an example, showcased the largest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to an actual production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

Bentley is the most sought-after car brand worldwide due to its distinctive design and workmanship. The company continues to push boundaries with the latest technology and craftsmanship, including the introduction of an instrument cluster that is digital and an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof, a custom-designed docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic  smart glass that can be switched from transparent to opaque at the touch of the button.

A century after its founding, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership after years of conflict with BMW - celebrated its centenary in 2019. Prior to pandemic planning taking center stage, the marque had a number of special events and launches planned to commemorate the occasion.

Design

Bentley is known as a premium car manufacturer that creates extravagant and luxurious cars. However, even the keys are an oath. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver, and has an enormous B' logo to signal to everyone that you drive a Bentley. The key is also embossed with the dates 1919 and 2019, to mark the company’s centenary.

Bentley Mulliner has redesigned and created the Mulsanne to become the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It features two opposing sets of rear seats that are inspired by luxury private aviation, providing passengers with unparalleled comfort and privacy. A customized heating, air conditioning, and ventilation system has been designed to ensure that every passenger has the ideal climate control setting.

Alongside a range of exquisitely executed styling tweaks The Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that is capable of producing 560bhp and 479lbft of torque. This incredible power is complemented by a new suspension system that provides Bentley's trademark quiet ride.

Bentley has announced a special specification for cars manufactured after the year 2019 in order to celebrate its centennial. It is known as the Centenary Specification. The cabin is decorated with cross-stitching as well as contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests, seats and other areas of the car. This makes it more fun to celebrate. The Centenary Specification also includes a bespoke Bentley keycase, completing the Bentley experience.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne key has buttons that open the trunk, and another button that can start the car. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors when parked in tight areas. Utilizing this feature can aid you in getting in and out of the car more quickly.

Each key takes two days to make. The key is cut by hand, shaped, stitched and sealed, then polished to give a superior result. It is light and compact and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its style is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however, it feels heavier and has a more luxurious feel.

It is also equipped with Secure-A-Key that helps to prevent theft of keys that are keyless. This device is put into the remote-control fob, and is disabled in the event that the key isn't used for a few minutes. It prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that will allow the key to be opened and start the car.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the company's values which include exquisite craftsmanship engineering expertise and the latest technologies. Over 4,000 employees work at its Crewe headquarters, where they are responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley automobiles. These workers apply skills handed down through generations and apply them to the latest in automotive technology. This is British manufacturing at its best.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own vehicle. The "mood station" lets guests pick images that inspire them. They can choose anything from beautiful landscapes to sporting events. Each time a selection is made, a pattern will emerge and reveals the model and color preferences for the customized Bentley.

The guests receive the keys in a case designed by hand that contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. Keys can be adorned with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps, which illuminate the path of the opening door with the owner's logo or name as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley estimates it takes approximately 500 man-hours in order to create and assemble the average Mulsanne. The unwillingness to embrace new technology is the key to this laborious task. Instead of employing a machine for spacers to the perfectly-matched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Instead of using the car's built-in sensors to guide it to perpendicular and parallel parking spots, drivers have to do it by hand.

The event also saw Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting one of a kind that was the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars include a key that displays a piece of the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
